2026 MCW 12th Shanghai Meichen Exhibition

 

Our installation team arrived at the hall at 8 a.m. sharp and got straight to work. Following the design blueprint, we carefully placed each product: standing fabric flowers, a giant artificial betta fish hanging on the wall, and paper‑carved photo frames on tables. Every piece reflected the hard work and original thinking of our design team.

 

 

 

 

The first day was when our two main installations – "Twelve Flower Deities" and "Ma Xiaohua" – made their debut. They quickly drew crowds. People stopped to take photos, and more importantly, quite a few businesses came by to talk about potential partnerships.

 

 

 

 

 

1. Twelve Flower Deities

This installation draws inspiration from traditional Chinese culture, specifically the deities believed to govern the flowers of each lunar month. The twelve months correspond to: plum blossom (January), apricot blossom (February), peach blossom (March), peony (April), pomegranate flower (May), lotus (June), hollyhock (July), osmanthus (August), chrysanthemum (September), hibiscus (October), camellia (November), and narcissus (December).

Using a variety of fabrics-velvet, coarse cloth, canvas, denim, and more-our artisans hand‑cut and dyed each petal, attached wire for shaping, and assembled the final flowers. LED light strips were added to the center of each blossom, allowing the installation to shine both day and night. These fabric flowers were arranged in a central area of the booth, creating a highly photogenic atmosphere that became a favorite photo spot.

 

 

2. Ma Xiaohua – Our Original IP

Spot the proud fabric horse standing among the flowers? That's Ma Xiaohua, our original brand character. The design is inspired by the Chinese zodiac-2026 is the Year of the Horse. The horse's patterns feature a classic Chinese red‑and‑blue color scheme, delivering a look that is both dignified and bold, while retaining a unique personality.

 

 

3. Giant Horse‑Head Art Installation

Standing three meters tall, the blue giant horse‑head installation became one of the most popular pieces at the show. Constructed with a wire armature and adorned with faux flowers and handmade paper blossoms, the piece uses blue as its dominant tone, accented with red and pink. The oversized dimensions create a striking visual impact, blending artistry with a sense of grandeur.

 

 

4.Giant artificial betta fish 

Hanging on the wall was another eye‑catcher: a three‑meter‑long artificial betta fish. Its body uses an iron frame, covered with paper scales. The fins and tail are made of organza, with LED lights inside. The tail spreads out like a wedding dress, which is why visitors started calling it the "wedding veil betta." The combination of rigid metal and soft, airy fabric, lit from within, gives it an elegant, almost dreamy feel.

 

 

 

5. Customizable paper‑carved photo frames

This is a new product we launched this year, and it turned out to be a favorite among international visitors. It turns a flat picture into a three‑dimensional artwork using paper‑carving techniques. What makes it different from ordinary photo frames is the layered depth and rich colors. Each piece is laser‑cut by machine, then assembled by hand. Multiple layers are stacked to create thickness and a real 3D effect.

At the exhibition, we showed more than 30 designs. Some feature traditional Chinese elements – like the lion dance, the dragon, and mythical figures – while others showcase famous landmarks such as the Great Wall and the Yellow Mountains. And yes, we do custom orders. You can send us any image, and we'll turn it into a paper‑carved frame with your choice of size and design.
