We Handcrafted A Giant Chinese Dragon

The dragon is a creature in ancient Chinese mythology. It has been an important symbol of Chinese culture for thousands of years and is the most important totem of the Chinese nation. The Chinese regard it as a spiritual totem. The legendary Chinese dragon is huge in size, can call the wind and rain, is unpredictable, and soars between heaven and earth. The ancient Chinese emperor was considered to be the incarnation of the dragon, symbolizing supreme power, and was therefore called the real Dragon King. Dragon culture is very popular in China, such as "dragon boat racing", "dragon lantern dance", "sacrifice to the Dragon King", etc., and stories related to dragons are even more widely circulated. Inspired by the Chinese dragon, our design team handmade a giant paper art Chinese dragon. Doesn't it look shocking?

It took our team a whole month to complete this handmade work. The early stage was computer modeling, the middle stage was making the dragon's body, and the last was pasting scales. There are more than 10,000 scales on the Chinese dragon, and each one needs to be pasted by hand. As craftsmen, we pursue the ultimate detail processing, including the eyes, teeth, beard, claws, etc. of the Chinese dragon. The final product is very perfect, and this is also one of the most satisfying works of our team.

The Chinese dragon is made of two materials, one is foam sculpture and the other is EVA. Foam sculpture is a new type of composite material with strong plasticity; EVA is a waterproof paper that is easy to color and has good toughness.
