A Year in Paper: Reimagining Material and Space in 2025
Broadly, these creations fall into two captivating categories. The most ubiquitous are Paper Florals. These are far more than simple imitations; they are interpretations. Ranging from hyper-realistic botanical replicas to abstract, sculptural blooms, they adapt to any aesthetic. The material palette is vast-from the delicate transparency of washi paper to the structural strength of cardstock, the playful texture of crepe, or the versatile form of foam paper. Scale is limitless, with pieces gracefully spanning from a tiny 5cm accent to a breathtaking 5-meter centerpiece. The second category, Paper Installations, answers a growing desire for unique, immersive environments. Brands and spaces increasingly seek these custom artworks to create memorable moments and articulate a distinct visual identity, turning empty areas into conversations.
Products Description
As we look back, 2025 was a year where our studio pushed these boundaries further. Here is a glimpse into some of our standout art projects with paper that defined the year:
1. "Phoenix Tail" for a Dunhuang-Themed Exhibition: Inspired by the legendary phoenix and the rich iconography of the Mogao Caves, this piece was crafted from hand-dyed foam paper and wire. Each feather was shaped to capture movement and myth, bringing an ancient symbol to life for a modern art audience.

2.Anthurium & Hibiscus for MO&CO: Created for this renowned women's fashion brand, these decorative florals drew inspiration from the bold forms of tropical anthurium and hibiscus. Made from foam paper and meticulously hand-painted, they added an organic, yet refined, luxury to the retail space.

3.Blue Iris Blooms for an Armani Privé Fragrance Salon: To evoke the elegance and mystery of the iris-a classic note in perfumery-we crafted ethereal blossoms from layers of organza. The result was a dreamlike, sophisticated installation that mirrored the fragrance's luxurious and delicate character.

4.Undersea Window Display for "Cosbaby" Children's Wear: This immersive display transformed a shop window into an ocean wonderland. Featuring seahorses, coral, starfish, and jellyfish, it fused paper art with strategic lighting and 3D-printed elements, creating a magical and cohesive narrative that captivated both children and parents.

5.17-Meter Paper Sculpture Mural for Hangzhou Grand Canal Metro Station: Depicting the iconic architecture along the historic Grand Canal, this monumental work was engineered from layered cardstock. Each component was precision-cut and meticulously assembled by hand over 30 days, resulting in a awe-inspiring tribute to the city's heritage that greets thousands of commuters daily.

6."Nine-Colored Deer" for the Shanghai International Paper Art Biennale: Inspired by the famed Dunhuang mural, this delicate installation featured a deer whose coat was formed from thousands of individually hand-cut and layered pieces of tracing paper. Under subtle lighting, the sculpture glowed, highlighting the painstaking artistry and ethereal beauty of the medium.
